The Carol Cole Company (formerly, Skin Star Inc.) was established in San Diego, California in November 2000. The Carol Cole Company is a leading pioneer in microcurrent technology and was formed to develop and market revolutionary new products, one of which is the NuFace® device. The NuFace® device is a product developed to transform the aesthetic home-use device industry. Utilizing proprietary microcurrent technology, this electronic aesthetic device utilizes optimal microcurrent output to lift and tone the face while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The NuFace® device was the brainchild of founder Carol Cole, a licensed cosmetologist working in the aesthetics industry since 1983, and has been working with microcurrent since 1985. The creation of the Carol Cole Company and the revolutionary FDA approved NuFace® device is a result of her enthusiasm to provide effective dermal toning devices.
