Q: How do I use my NuFACE mini device?

  1. Prep: Start with a makeup free, clean face. Apply NuFACE Primer to your clean, dry skin.
  2. Lift: Glide the NuFACE mini over the natural contours of your face. 5-second glides, repeat 3 times.
  3. Finish: Remove NuFACE Primer, spray your face with NuFACE Optimizing Mist and apply your preferred moisturizer

Q: How do I charge my NuFACE mini?

A: Remove your NuFACE mini device and power adapter from the box. Connect the power adapter to the device, and plug into the wall outlet to charge your device. Please note that the device will not turn on when it is charging. Place your NuFACE mini on a counter or table top, away from any source of water. Charge your NuFACE mini device for 16 hours before the first use. The blue lights will increasingly illuminate, indicating that your device is charging. The blue lights will stay illuminated when the device is charged.

Q: What are the differences between the NuFACE mini and NuFACE Trinity?

A: Both the NuFACE mini and NuFACE Trinity deliver a low-level electrical current (microcurrent), which stimulates the skin to improve its appearance. A: The great thing about having both treatments is you do not have to choose which to use more. Think of them as your own personal anti-aging team used at your convenience to achieve youthful looking skin.

Q: Should I use the NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Reducer before or after the NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer?

A: We recommend that you use the NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Reducer, then the NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer and finish with your regular facial routine.

Q: My NuFACE Trinity will not charge or turn on.

A: If you are experiencing any problems with your device, we recommend resetting. To reset, follow the instructions provided on Resetting Your Device. 

Q: How long does my NuFACE Trinity have to be on the charging cradle?

A: Charge your NuFACE Trinity device for 12 hours before the first use. The blue lights will stay illuminated when device is charged. The NuFACE Trinity device is meant to live on the charging cradle when not in use. We recommend a full charge cycle of 12 hours if the battery power is drained completely. A fully charged NuFACE Trinity should last for approximately two weeks of use based on a daily 20-minute treatment time.

Q: How do I charge my NuFACE Trinity?

A: Remove your NuFACE Trinity device, charging cradle and external power adaptor from the box. Connect the external power adaptor to the charging cradle and plug the adaptor into the wall outlet. Place your NuFACE Trinity device on the charging cradle. You will hear an ascending beep and the blue lights will increasingly illuminate. This indicates that your device is charging.

Q: How is the NuFACE Trinity different from the NuFACE Classic device?

A: The NuFACE Trinity comes standard with the microcurrent Facial Trainer attachment which is built on the same microcurrent technology that made the NuFACE Classic the leading handheld facial toning device. It emits the same level of current as the NuFACE Classic device. The NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer gently and effectively stimulates your skin to improve your appearance. NuFACE Trinity ELE

Q: Why doesn’t the NuFACE Trinity ELE contract the muscles? How does it tone them if it doesn’t contract the muscles? How much current will I feel?

A: The NuFACE Trinity ELE utilizes microcurrent that gently stimulates the facial muscles. It is normal not to feel any sensation with the NuFACE Trinity ELE treatment, although a slight tingling sensation may be felt in certain areas. Facial sensitivity varies from individual to individual.  For this, you have the option of lowering or raising the intensity during any segment of the treatment.

Q: What is the NuFACE Trinity ELE?

A: The NuFACE Trinity ELE is an effective lip & eye treatment attachment that uses soft wave microcurrent technology to gently stimulate the skin to improve your appearance.  Innovative treatment wands enable you to effectively treat hard-to-reach areas around the eyes and lips like eyebrow furrows, crow's feet and smile lines.

Q: What type of results will I see and how quickly will I see them?

A: Results may vary based on skin type and skin condition, however optimal results are achieved with regular use.

Q: When and how often should I use my NuFACE Trinity ELE? What can I do to maintain results?

A: The NuFACE Trinity ELE is safe and gentle enough for everyday use, morning or night. NuFACE Trinity ELE is FDA-cleared for the face. We recommend once in a 24-hour period, for 5 minutes per treatment. For the first 60 days, we recommend at least 5 times per week; after 60 days or once desired results are achieved, 2-3 times per week for maintenance following the instructions in the NuFACE Trinity ELE user manual.

Q: How do I use my NuFACE Trinity ELE?

Q: Can I use my favorite anti-aging serums with my NuFACE Trinity ELE?

A: Yes. The NuFACE Trinity ELE works synergistically with any skin care line whether it is over-the-counter, cosmeceutical, or a botanical skin care brand. Do not use any oil based skin care products before using your NuFACE Trinity ELE as the oil based product may leave a residue on the skin, prohibiting the optimal delivery of microcurrent to the face.

Q: Can I use my NuFACE Trinity ELE in the eye area? Do I use the NuFACE primer in the eye area?

A: Yes. The NuFACE Trinity ELE is designed to target hard-to-reach eyebrow furrows and crow’s feet. You may use the NuFACE Trinity ELE in the eye area while practicing caution to avoid the tear ducts and eyelids. Apply the NuFACE primer to the areas you are treating, but practice caution to avoid getting primer in the eye.

Q: How is the NuFACE Trinity ELE different from the NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer?

A: The dual spheres of the NuFACE Trinity ELE are similar to that of the NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer, in that they are capable of providing complete facial stimulation. However, the dual spheres of the NuFACE Trinity ELE are significantly smaller in size and are designed for optimal contact with smaller surface areas of the face, like around the lips or eyes, whereas the NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer is designed for larger surfaces of the face.

Q: I have multiple NuFACE attachments. Can I use all 3 during the same treatment? If so, in what order?

A: All 3 attachments can be used as part of your daily NuFACE treatment. Use the NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Reducer (red LED) before the NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer and NuFACE Trinity ELE (microcurrent.)

Q: Which NuFACE attachment should I use more often?

A: Each attachment offers a unique solution to meet your anti-aging goals. Clinical studies have shown that the NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer can improve facial contour and skin tone. A: For patients who have recently had or who are planning to have Botox/injectables, laser treatments and/or surgical facelifts, you should consult your doctor before using the NuFACE device.

Q: Who should not use the NuFACE Trinity ELE?

A: The NuFACE Trinity ELE is contraindicated against and should not be used if you are under 18, are pregnant, have a pacemaker and/or electronic implanted device, have epilepsy/seizures or active cancer. Do not use over suspicious or cancerous lesions. Do not use over swollen, inflamed areas or skin eruptions. Do not use on mid-line of neck, breast or groin area. Do not apply stimulation across the chest. If you have any medical concerns, please consult your doctor before using the device.

Q: Who should not use the NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Reducer?

A: The NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Reducer is contraindicated against and should not be used on the neck if you have been diagnosed with or suspect a thyroid problem, over any suspicious or cancerous legions, with topical or systemic steroids, on infants or children under the age of 18, if you have a history of seizures, skin sensitivity to light, or are using medications that cause skin sensitivity to light, or you are pregnant.

Q: Do I have to wear goggles when using the NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Reducer?

A: No, because the red LEDs turn off when not in direct contact with the skin. However, it is NOT advisable to look directly into the light.

Q: What are the benefits of the protective shield/skin sensor?

A: It activates the red LEDs when in direct contact with the skin and protects the lights from any direct contact with serums, keeping the lights clean and unexposed to outside factors.

Q: Should I use the NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer or my Trinity Wrinkle Reducer more often?

Q: Do people see immediate results?

A: Immediate results vary. It takes about 8 weeks to see the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. Some people see results in a shorter period of time, while other take longer. We recommend taking a photo before starting treatment to compare along the way. Once you achieve your desired results, you can continue to use the NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Reducer as needed for maintenance following the instructions in the user manual.

Q: Do I have to use your NuFACE Primer? What does it do?

A: We recommend using our NuFACE Primers as it has been formulated specifically to deliver the best results with the NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer and NuFACE mini devices. It is what actually conducts the microcurrent and is necessary for treatment. Without the Primer, the current is not penetrating to the desired location underneath the skin.

Q: How much NuFACE Primer should be applied to my face?

A: A thin layer should be applied, enough for the NuFACE device to glide easily, without pulling your skin. Keep the NuFACE Primer moist by spraying the NuFACE Optimizing Mist or applying more NuFACE Primer. Apply in sections to direct area of treatment to avoid the NuFACE Primer from drying out.

Q: Can I use the NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Reducer with water or oil-based serums?

A: All NuFACE Serums are water-based and compatible with the NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Reducer treatment. Most serums are compatible with red LED*. NuFACE Classic

Q: Even if the green light is on, should I change the battery?

A: For optimal results, we recommend replacing the battery in your NuFACE Classic every 6-8 weeks. You should receive roughly 50 treatments per battery. We recommend only using Duracell Coppertop or Energizer Lithium batteries as generic or rechargeable batteries as this may decrease both the number of treatments delivered and the effectiveness of your NuFACE device. If the green light is dim or blinking, this indicates the battery is not holding the charge and should be changed. The NuFACE Classic does not turn off by itself, so please remember to turn off after each treatment. Make sure you are storing your batteries correctly. Batteries can lose their charge if the tops touch each other or a metal surface. If you are not storing them in the package, we recommend putting tape over the heads of the battery to avoid losing their charge.

Q: How do I install/remove the battery on my NuFACE Classic?

Q: Where is my serial number located?

A: The unique serial number (NU-XXX-XXXXX) is under the battery. Open the back cover, lift the battery, and the serial number will be on the device.

General NuFACE

Q: Can the NuFACE devices be used with skin care products?

A: YES. All the NuFACE devices works synergistically with many skin care lines. Do not use oil-based skin care products before your NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer and NuFACE mini treatment as the oil may prohibit the optimal delivery of microcurrent. For advanced results, apply your favorite NuFACE Serum before you apply the NuFACE Primer.

Q: I see flashing lights when using a NuFACE device. Is this normal?

A: A common reaction is a perception of flashing lights during your NuFACE treatment, resulting from the stimulation of the optic nerve. If you notice this condition constantly and when not using your NuFACE device, please consult your doctor.

Q: I do not feel anything when using a NuFACE device. Is that normal?

A: YES. If you are using your NuFACE microcurrent device properly, with a layer of NuFACE Primer covering your skin, you should feel a very mild sensation or no sensation at all. The NuFACE devices do not vibrate or contract the muscles; the microcurrent gently stimulates the face with the low-level electrical current. To Troubleshoot: If you are concerned that your NuFACE (microcurrent) device is not working properly, follow these steps.
  1. Turn the device on the highest level and place BOTH spheres on your clean, dry face (no primer, moisturizer, etc.) for no longer than ONE audible beep. As a precaution, please do not keep the NuFACE (microcurrent) device on your face without NuFACE Primer for longer than one beep.
  2. You should feel a “pinch” or “stinging” sensation which indicates your NuFACE is working properly.
TIP: If you start out feeling no sensation, but during the treatment you begin to feel the current, the NuFACE Primer layer may be drying or too thin. Refresh by spraying the NuFACE Optimizing Mist or add more NuFACE Primer to the areas experiencing sensation. Remember, both spheres must always be touching the skin simultaneously for the treatment to be effective.

Q: The User Manual and Quickstart Guide that came with my device seem different than the video instructions on your website, can you clarify?

A: While images are an excellent instruction tool, viewing the NuFACE treatment being carried out offers a more comprehensive understanding of its capabilities. We recommend that you watch our instructional videos and read both the User Manual and Quickstart Guide for a full understanding of your NuFACE device. Q: Can NuFACE devices be used in countries outside of the USA?

A: The NuFACE Trinity power supply accommodates 100-240vac, 50/60Hz which is compatible with virtually all countries. The device comes with a standard non-polarized two-prong plug; a plug adapter may be required for certain countries. A converter is not required. The NuFACE mini device power supply accommodates 100-240vac, 50/60Hz which is compatible in most countries. The device comes with a non-polarized two-prong plug; a plug adapter may be required for certain countries. The NuFACE Classic works on a 9-volt battery. Q: Is Microcurrent technology the same as galvanic technology?

A: No. Microcurrent works to stimulate and tone the facial muscles. Microcurrent is also known to increase collagen, elastin, circulation, ATP and product penetration. Galvanic penetrates product deeper and does not benefit the facial muscles.

Q: Why do I have to stay out of the mouth and eye areas when using the NuFACE Classic and NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer?

A: The mouth and eye areas are circular muscles and need to be treated in accordance with the muscle direction. Microcurrent does travel so improvement will be seen around the mouth and eyes.

Q: Why doesn’t the NuFACE device contract the muscles? How does it tone them if it doesn’t contract the muscles? How much current will I feel?

A: Microcurrent is a low-level electrical current that gently and passively stimulates the muscles, working just under/at the sensory level. It is normal not to feel any sensation during the treatment. A slight tingling sensation may be felt in certain areas. Facial sensitivity varies from individual to individual. You can lower or raise the intensity during any segment of the treatment.

Q: Who should/shouldn’t use a NuFACE device?

Q: Where is my tracking number?

A: Your tracking number is located in your email confirmation. You can check the status of your shipment on the UPS website.

Q: When will my order ship and when will I receive it?

Also, after placing your order, you may click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to track the status of your order. You will receive a shipment confirmation when your order has shipped and tracking information within 24-48 hours of shipment. Most orders are processed within 24-72 hours of receipt (Processing time does not include weekend days or federal holidays). If you are dissatisfied for any reason, please contact a representative within 60 days of purchase to assist you. Purchases made from other retailers must be returned to said retailer for refund. If you require warranty replacement or repair, please contact a representative.

A: We recommend that you retain your purchase — whether from Carol Cole Company or another retailer — in the event that you need to return your purchase.

A: Every NuFACE device includes a 60-day money-back guarantee and a one (1) year warranty covering any manufacturer related problems resulting from everyday use of the product.
